Portland Car Dealer: The 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4WD is Sporty and Handsome
The Grand Vitara is Suzuki’s contribution to the SUV market. Combining car-like independent suspension and a truck-like body that the editors at MotorTrend call “a handsome hauler,” the 2012 Grand Vitara is sporty and comfortable.
The Ultimate Adventure package comes complete with easy-to-clean synthetic seats (the Limited edition comes with leather seats and a moonroof), a Garmin navigation system with Bluetooth capability, and satellite radio. While some Blackberry smartphones may have difficulty pairing with the Bluetooth and audio systems, the audio system also comes with an auxiliary jack, providing a workaround for those potential issues.
The engine is powerful enough for everyday driving, with 166 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The criticisms provided by the MotorTrend editors are, like many of their criticisms, are not directly applicable to everyday drivers. Downshifting, they say, takes too long and speeds over 70mph require “the driver’s full attention.” Every driver should have full attention on the driving experience, no matter what the speed.
Overall, the Grand Vitara is an affordable and efficient SUV (EPA estimates set expected mpg in the mid-20s). Classic features of the now-discontinued Samurai have been married to updated desires of the modern SUV market.

Portland Car Dealer: Gladstone Suzuki is Proud to Have the BEST Customers!
We feel very fortunate to have such great customers at Gladstone Suzuki. Not only do we take pride in offering a great product at affordable prices, but it is also a pleasure to deliver outstanding service during a process that most don’t look forward to. We are proud to share these kind words received from Belton, one of our loyal customers!
To The Potential Customer,
I have been a customer with Gladstone Suzuki now for 6+ years. Five cars later I am still a loyal fan of the product and the employees. In this industry, we hear too many negative experiences and forget to highlight the positive ones. Because when we have a positive experience we walk away feeling like we “Got that great deal and took ‘em!”
First of all, I disagree with those comments because 1.) you can’t “take” someone who knows their industry better than you, 2.) if you
received a “great deal”, they knowingly made it work out for you. The key phrase is that they made it work for you. Knowingly made it work I should say.
With my last (yeah right…we will see if it’s my last hehe) purchase, I was working another deal with an OWNER of a Competing Brand. The owner had told me that they would make their deal with me work. They couldn’t understand why I would work a deal from Portland when I lived in Seattle! On top of that, they firmly believed that their product was a great product. I don’t doubt that at all. I thought their product was a good product too and that their car company was a reputable one at that. It is a highly recognized brand BUT…Suzuki beat their deal. The rival competitor gracefully bowed out, was surprised Suzuki’s deal worked out, and then encouraged me to go with Suzuki because of the warranty AND the parameters that were met…i.e. monthly payments, etc… Very respectable in my eyes watching two dealerships work deals for me with one supporting my decision either way.
In the end, Suzuki personally delivered my vehicle to me from Portland and left me a very happy individual. I would love to get into details about the product, warranty, NW conditions and their all wheel drive options, etc… but I don’t have 3 pages of emails to type up.
Here’s the deal people. I own my own business and deal with people on an everyday basis. I watched Jered Shaw and his team (Michael Lytle) make things happen where I thought wouldn’t happen. From out of college with bad credit to now great credit and owning my own business, Suzuki made it work and continually do so year after year. In business, relationships are KING. With Suzuki, you definitely get that and some. I recommend these guys to anyone and am more than happy to answer questions to potential customers out there about Suzuki’s product and their service.
I hope your buying experience is just as good as mine or BETTER! Let your 100,000 miles be a happy one with Suzuki. Thanks for allowing me to share my story!!!

New Suzuki Cars: 2011 Kizashi Sport SLS Manual Speed Makes for Fun Ride
The 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport SLS ups the fun factor with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. In addition, 18-inch wheels, a tweaked lower front fascia and perforated leather seating make it an exceedingly good-looking car.
In a recent article, the staff at Automobile Magazine test drove the 2011 Kizashi Sport SLS to see how is measured up to the Four Seasons model. Of the five reviews, all agreed that the Kizashi Sports six-speed manual transmission (as opposed to the CVT continuously variable transmission) made for a crisp, fun ride that handles well. Added KYB suspension adjustments made for a “buttoned down” ride.
Suzuki’s six-speed manual is remarkably crisp and requires very short throws, and allows drivers to keep the rev-happy 2.4-liter in its power band. – Evan McCausland, Web Producer Automobilemag.com
