Suzuki News: Suzuki Motors Develops India As A Small Car Export Hub

rediff Business.com has an interesting article about the growth of India as an exporting resource for new Suzuki cars.

For Europe, Africa and West Asian markets (Middle East), we are looking at India as an export hub – Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman Osamu Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki, India’s Suzuki, subsidiary has already exported 147,000 cars for the 2009-10 fiscal year and is planning developments the country’s infrastructure to support the clamor for these cars.  In mid-October, 2011 sales figures had already crossed the 100,000 mark.

With Maruti Suzuki’s announcement that plans are on-track to develop a diesel engine for the mid sized SX4 vehicle line- the carmaker anticipates an even higher eastern-Asian car demand.
