When Suzuki redesigned the new SX4 they didn’t just put a new reflector on, move a piece in the engine, change the seat color, and put a different steering wheel in it. The new SX4 is completely redesigned, and for the better. They took the great little off-roader and made not just a better one, a much better one. It has an all new engine that tosses the 1.6Liter and puts a new 2.0Liter power plant at this compact cars core. It has a new transmission for more gears, and better fuel economy.

The test car notched up many more positives than negatives on its road test scorecard, with its four-wheel-drive system holding particular appeal as the chilly and often damp days of winter really started to bite.
