Portland Car Dealer: Suzuki to Air Kizashi Ad During Super Bowl XLVI

Last year, Suzuki aired (in select markets), a memorable, dialogue-free ad featuring a good-looking man, the all-wheel drive Suzuki Kizashi, and evil snowmen. Evil, red-eyed snowmen who believed—wrongly, of course—that throwing snowballs at the expertly-balanced sedan would somehow throw its driver off-course and…well, we never find out because of course the Kizashi is the victor.

After spending a reported $200,000 to air the “Wicked Winter Weather” ad in 2011, Suzuki has revealed that a 2012 Kizashi ad spot will be aired during Super Bowl XLVI. Like last year’s ad, this year’s will air in select markets. Any other details, however, are being held close to the vest. In a photo released to AutoBlog.com, we see a parka-clad person standing outside an igloo, waving goodbye to another parka-clad person being pulled by a sled dog team. The mountains surrounding the pair are impressive.

We’ll see how impressive the ad is on February 5. In the meantime, if you’re looking for your own Suzuki Kizashi or other quality new or pre-owned vehicle, browse our new inventorypre-owned inventory, and internet specials 24/7 at gladstonesuzuki.com.

Portland Car Dealer: 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Recognized as Industry’s Best Kept Secret

Suzuki has had a very successful year in 2011, offering a small lineup of premium vehicles that offer tremendous value for our customers. Looking back at this success reveals one Suzuki model that made an especially big splash in the industry: the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi.

Starting at $18,999, the Kizashi offers a wide range of safety, performance, and luxury features that is often absent from its competitors in the same price range. For safety, the Kizashi features 8 standard airbags, which meets the new side-impact crash standards required by manufacturers in 2014. It also includes award-winning Akebono brakes and was named a ‘Top Safety Pick’ by IIHS.

Luxury and performance also make the Kizashi stand out from the rest. It is equipped with an Autobahn-tuned 5-link suspension for excellent handling and a smooth ride, and has proven its ability to outcorner high-end models like the Audi A4 and Mercedes C300. For standard features, you’ll find several convenient aspects that you won’t find in competitors like standard TouchFree Smart Key, standard dual-zone automatic climate control, and a more quiet and peaceful idle than the Mercedes C300.

We are thrilled about what the Kizashi has to offer to our customers and it is truly one of the very best values on the market today. If you would like to schedule a test drive for the Kizashi, we would love to take you for a ride. Give us a call at 877-630-8711 today!

Portland Car Dealer: Suzuki Kizashi Receives High Praise After Long-Term Road Test

After conducting a long-term road test over multiple years, Motor Trend finally has its verdict on the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi. As expected, they weren’t disappointed.

While there is room for improvement for every vehicle tested, it’s clear that the the Kizashi is in a class all its own as a “best kept secret”. Calling it  a “cure for the common mid-size sedan”, editors praised the Kizashi for its “fun-factor” with its extraordinary handling, acceleration, and comfort in the driver’s seat. They also mentioned the spacious and premium feel of the interior, which has tremendous luxury appeal and adds value to the Kizashi’s bargain starting price of $18,999.

Dimensionally, it looks and feels more Corolla than Camry, even though it’s as wide as the latter. This is a good thing because, although the Kizashi is no compact, it feels like one; it’s very easy to maneuver through narrow streets, alleys, parking lots. – Associate Road Test Editor Carlos Lago

We’re thrilled that Motor Trend has continued to recognize the Kizashi as one of the premium mid-size sedans on the market, and we would love to take you for a test drive in one of our brand new models in stock!

Portland Car Dealer: Suzuki Kizashi Earns Highest Satisfaction Rating in Latest Award

The 2011 Suzuki Kizashi has received praise from virtually every major auto publication since its North American debut, and the popular Suzuki model is now being recognized with one of the highest honors in the industry. J.D. Power and Associates’ 2011 Automotive Performance Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study revealed the Kizashi outperformed 19 other midsize sedans to earn the highest satisfaction rating in its category.

The 2011 APEAL study was based on more than 73,000 buyers and lessees of new 2011 model year cars and trucks. This award comes as the Kizashi has hit its stride in the market, with sales up more than 55% over last year. With its Autobahn-tuned suspension, traction enhancing AWD system, and a near-luxury level of standard features, the Kizashi is one of the most compelling and affordable midsize offerings on the market today starting at less than $20,000.

This is another great accomplishment for Suzuki, the combination of the J.D. Power and Associates’ APEAL Award and the recent AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award affirms that Suzuki is bringing passion back into the midsize sedan category. We are proud of the Kizashi and this recognition from our owners is a strong testament to the hard work that our engineers, designers, and planners have put into this exciting vehicle. – Steve Younan, director of product planning and marketing, American Suzuki.

Portland Car Dealer: Suzuki Newsletter Highlights the Award-Winning Kizashi

Think Honda and Toyota are still at the top of the sport sedan category? Think again!

Suzuki highlighted many of the awards received by the consumer-favorite Kizashi in the latest version of the Suzuki Newsletter. For both 2010 and 2011, the Kizashi has won AutoPacific’s vehicle satisfaction award. The award was determined by more than 68,000 voters who rated new midsize cars in the United States. In addition to being a Consumer’s Digest Best Buy, the 2011 model was also named Official Safety Car of the Formula 1000 Championship Series and received praise from USA Today as a family favorite in their Midsize Sedan Shootout.

The Kizashi provides the optimal balance between power, fuel economy, features, and style. Under the hood is a L4, 2.4 liter engine that results in great power and fuel efficiency. Interior options include everything you’d expect from a top-rated sedan, including push-button start, iPod capability, cruise control, outside temperature gauge, and folding rear seats for extra cargo space. The exterior includes a remote trunk lid, heated mirrors, and the popular Smartkey feature. Several custom features are also available when you build your own Kizashi right from our website.

We have several brand new 2010 Kizashi models in stock, and we would love to take you for a test drive! Give us a call at 877-630-8711 and we’ll set up a time!
